| I would like to give a little information to you on the importance of this years race. This will be the 42nd Annual Turtle Race and the first race without Mother Turtle, Nadine Schramm. Nadine died in August after starting the races in 1964. I took over as president two years ago after the 40th Anniversary. We are calling this year the 2006 Memorial Run in memory of Nadine, Gary Dokey, my daughter Andrea and many other Turtle Club members who have passed away in the last couple years. We will have a special tent set up which will include memorabilia from Nadine's collection and past year's races which we will be selling. Here is the information: Mike Puhr |
